We would like to thank all of our loyal players and customers for a great 2011.

See you all in 2012. Our first game is on January 8th .

At Close Action we pride ourselves on providing a service where experienced and novice players alike will have an unforgettable day. Groups, teams and individuals are all welcome and will be made to feel at home by our highly trained staff . Our skirmish days provide a variety of experiences that range from short, sharp, action-packed games, to longer, themed scenarios where players can use tactics and fieldcraft to achieve set objectives. We have a large team of player-marshalls who ensure that our reputation for fair play and fun gaming is upheld.

Site 1. Grafton Park . An historic WWII air base with a wealth of ruins and bunkers amidst 120 acreas of mature woodland. We will definitely be at Grafton from April 3rd into June.

Site 2. Weekly Hall wood. A massive 200+ acre mixed woodland site, featuring scenic valleys formed after the mining of iron ore from the 1930s to the 1970s.

You must book to play. No deposit is necessary if you have your own gear, but email us at bookings@close-action.co.uk to secure a place.

You MUST arrive before 0930 as we will lock the gates after this time to keep the public out.

HALF DAYS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Times:

We are frequently asked about timings for our airsoft game days.Play starts at 10:00, so players need to arrive at around 0900 to get kitted up and ready for the safety briefing at 0945.Lunch is at around 12:45. Some bring packed lunches, but we now offer lunchtime catering in the form of 1/4lb burgers and jumbo hot dogs. These can be ordered when you sign in, and paid for when collected at lunchtime. Burgers are £2.50 and hotdogs are £1.50.

Afternoon play starts at around 13:30 and continues until 16:30, or a bit earlier when the days are short.
