I have that exact sportline rifle. It last me a year and a half before needed some new gears. Other than that its been sound. Well worth the money for a budget rifle!

If I had the dosh though i would opt for the ICS.

afaik, ICS are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Don't they also have split gearboxes?

ICS all the way smile.gif The split gearbox design is awesome - easy to maintain and upgrade. If you buy a second upper gearbox you can have one set up for 350fps at Close Action, then have another with a 300fps set up for a CQB site - it'll take less than a minute to swap them over! The hop units are very good too.

Despite what the nay-sayers might have you believe, most of the parts are compatible with third party upgrades - the gearbox is all version 2 except the anti-reverse latch. Externally even if some parts aren't directly compatible, with a bit of minor modding you can usually sort it out. Both mine have D-Boys crane stocks and one has a King Arms CASV front end.

All I have to do now is make it to a game to use them smile.gif
