Hi all , just wondering if any of you have had any problems with your AEG's in this cold spell.
I only played a half day last sunday, but my CA M4 worked fine . -------------------- "Remember boys flys spread disease , so keep yours closed.."

No problems, just (a little) shorter battery life.

Jerry Lee was a little poorly on the last game, but nothing to do with the cold. Mathilda doesn't like the cold, I'm told by the resident master that the hop rubber is not so efficient when it's cold which makes sense as without the grip there is little spin. I think the biggest problems with AEG's is with the batteries getting cold. however this should not be a problem if you only play for half the game. (Another blinding shot)

Can cold affect bolties? not just hop but air pressure?

I think that rubber hops can be affected by the cold , maybe they harden compared to there silicone counterparts.
A good quality battery should hold its charge though .. -------------------- "Remember boys flys spread disease , so keep yours closed.."

I think the best bet is to do an FPS test next Sunday before the games start.
EDIT: purely as a comparison in this cold weather , apparently in cold weather the air offers less resistance so the point of impact is higher .(source:Out of nowhere a history of the military sniper) -------------------- "Remember boys flys spread disease , so keep yours closed.."

for some reason it seams to reduce my rate of fire on my aeg p90...?
but thats possibly just because its atleast 3 years old now (but still going strong) -------------------- Preperations for a gun fight...
Bring a gun. Preferably, bring at least two guns. Bring all of your friends who have guns. Use a gun that works EVERY TIME. "All skill is in vain when an Angel pisses in the flintlock of your musket." Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap - and the re-gen point is always to far away. Do not attend a gun fight with a handgun, the caliber of which does not start with anything smaller than "6". You can't miss fast enough to win. |
