Hi all , just wondering if any of you have had any problems with your AEG's in this cold spell.
I only played a half day last sunday, but my CA M4 worked fine .

No problems, just (a little) shorter battery life.

Leave the GBB's at home though.

Jerry Lee was a little poorly on the last game, but nothing to do with the cold. Mathilda doesn't like the cold, I'm told by the resident master that the hop rubber is not so efficient when it's cold which makes sense as without the grip there is little spin. I think the biggest problems with AEG's is with the batteries getting cold. however this should not be a problem if you only play for half the game. (Another blinding shot)

I think that rubber hops can be affected by the cold , maybe they harden compared to there silicone counterparts.
A good quality battery should hold its charge though ..

Had a quick look on the net .. Cold air will reduce pressure ! so we should be safe from the Longs for a while tongue.gif

heh, I knew that bit tongue.gif

I presume the difference is negligible though.

I think the best bet is to do an FPS test next Sunday before the games start.
EDIT: purely as a comparison in this cold weather , apparently in cold weather the air offers less resistance so the point of impact is higher .(source:Out of nowhere a history of the military sniper)

for some reason it seams to reduce my rate of fire on my aeg p90...?

but thats possibly just because its atleast 3 years old now (but still going strong)

Preperations for a gun fight...

Bring a gun. Preferably, bring at least two guns. Bring all of your friends who have guns.

Use a gun that works EVERY TIME. "All skill is in vain when an Angel pisses in the flintlock of your musket."

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap - and the re-gen point is always to far away.

Do not attend a gun fight with a handgun, the caliber of which does not start with anything smaller than "6".

You can't miss fast enough to win.

That would just be the cold affecting the battery.

its not got the same fire rate it used to have anyway probably lost 20%, the cold weather makes it a lot worse

befor i had a 3300mah large 8.4v in it, then to try to combat the deminishing fire rate i replaced it with a 4600mah large 8.4v,

all its had done to it was a 330fps upgrade about 2 years ago from you.

but you must have a better idea on a better suited battery,

could it be resistance on the conectors (still fused but most people iv talked to tell me fuses dont make much difference)

or maybe the old eg1000 motor?
